코로나19로 인해 아시아인에 대한 혐오가 세계적으로 많이 발생되었다. 더불어 아시아인을 비하하는 눈을 찢는 듯한 행동도 한동안 유행했다. 하지만 세계적으로 명성있는 아시아 모델이나 스타들을 봐도 알 수 있듯이 아이러니하게도 동양의 그 째진 눈이 서양인이 바라보는 동양의 미의 기준이자 아름다움이다.

패션 사진에서 아시아인을 비하하는 제스처를 통해 동양인의 단점이라고 생각하는 작은 눈을 장점이라 표현하고 싶다.

Hatred towards Asians became an epidemic around the world due to COVID-19. And actions of demeaning Asians also became popular. But I believe that the true oriental beauty comes from small eyes.

I rather want to capture a gesture that demeans Asians in fashion photography. Through this, I want to express the small eyes, which I think are the disadvantages of Asians, rather as an advantage (beauty).
